IMMUNOLOGY FOR PHARMACY

Immunology is discipline within the biomedical sciences that originally studied the host response to microbial infections and tumors. More recently, immunologists have discerned the role of the immune system in allergic reactions, autoimmune diseases and transplantation survival. This book presents basic immunological concepts and mechanisms while keeping the focus on the needs of student pharmacists in terms of pedagology, practical applications and therapy. Until now, there were no textbooks that meet the needs of both students and practicing pharmacists.
